What is MINI Yours Customised?

MINI Yours Customised is the latest in automotive individualization. This innovative, customer-oriented interface gives you the ability to make your MINI unique. Through our online platform, you can design and customise a number of components for your MINI based on your own preferences. Your designed products are then sent to our adaptive production facilities that include the use of 3D printers to be created with the highest levels of quality and precision.

I am designing a new MINI. Can I configure it with MINI Yours Customised products from the start?

No. Ordering a new car and ordering MINI Yours Customised products is done separately. That being said, all MINI Yours Customised parts can be easily installed into your car after receiving them. Please check your car’s compatibility with MINI Yours Customised products. Go to: “What vehicles are compatible with MINI Yours Customised products?”

Why doesn’t the customiser allow me to enter a certain name or text?

o Only text that complies with MINI’s guidelines is permitted. Grounds for the rejection of an entry include:

  • offensive or discriminatory content
  • content which violates trademark rights or contain copyrighted terms
  • vulgar language
  • Other content that presents a liability to the BMW Group

If you believe your text entry was unfairly rejected, please contact our customer centre. We would be happy to work with you to fulfill your request.

Can I design or order MINI Yours Customised products at a dealership?

No. MINI Yours Customised products are only available on our website.

What is my car’s VIN and where can I find it?

VIN stands for “vehicle identification number”. This is a unique identifier for your car. Your MINI’s VIN can be found in the following:

  • Your vehicle registration certificate (part 1) under item E (as of 2005).
  • Your vehicle registration papers under item 4 (before 2005).
Would it be possible for me to see MINI Yours Customised products firsthand before making a purchase?

Please contact your local MINI retailer to find out whether they have MINI Yours Customised products in their current showroom.

Important Information:

  • If your vehicle was manufactured before 07/2018, you will need to install a mounting fixture (LHD part number 51 45 7 944 784; RHD part number 51 45 7 944 785) into the cockpit.
  • If your vehicle was manufactured after 07/2018, you will need to install a mounting fixture (LHD part number 51 45 7 944 784; RHD part number 51 45 7 944 785) into the cockpit unless your MINI has been fitted with the Piano Black interior (SA4BD).
  • Please contact your MINI dealer for the installation of mounting fixtures. *Keep in mind that mounting fixtures are not included with your order

Important Information:

  • Your vehicle must have lighting on the underside of its doors (available with the “Light” (SA563) or “Excitement” (SA4V9) Packages)
  • There are two options for purchasing door projectors – slides only and slides with door projectors (set). If you have not yet installed the door projectors yourself, please order the set (which includes two projectors and two slides.
Do MINI Yours Customised products meet the same safety standards as all other MINI products?

Yes.

Do I need to register MINI Yours Customised products before using them?

No. All MINI Yours Customised products have been approved for street use and thus require no further registration.

• Where are MINI Yours Customised products manufactured?

All MINI Yours Customised parts are made in Germany. Depending on the product, they are either produced at one of various BMW Group manufacturing sites or at authorized BMW Group suppliers.

What methods of payment are accepted?

You can pay with debit or credit card. Most major card providers are accepted.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. You can do so by contacting our customer centre.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. We assume all shipping costs for returned products. Contact our customer centre to arrange this. Please keep in mind that we cannot provide packaging material.

If your products are damaged within the warranty period, please contact our customer centre

How can I lodge a complaint about a MINI Yours Customised product I received?

If your MINI Yours Customised product is damaged, defective, or has otherwise failed to meet your expectations, please contact our customer centre.

What is the return policy for MINI Yours Customised products?

You can return a product within 30 days of purchase. Upon doing so, you will be reimbursed the full purchase price and MINI will cover the return shipping. To initiate a return, contact our customer centre.

Can I have MINI Yours Customised products installed at a dealership?

Yes. To do so, please contact the dealership directly.

Where can I find instructions for installing MINI Yours Customised products?

The installation instructions for your product are included in the item’s delivery package. Further, you can visit the MINI Yours Customised website to view installation video tutorials.

Can I install the products myself?

Yes. All MINI Yours Customised products can be easily self-installed.

Can I remove MINI Yours Customised products from my car?

Yes. You can remove any MINI Yours Customised products without damaging the car or leaving behind residue. We advise you to keep your MINI’s default components and the installation tools included in your delivery in the event that you wish to remove your customised products.

Shipping & Delivery

Are there any shipping costs for MINI Yours Customised products?

No. Shipping is free. For shipping to countries outside the EU, there may be import duties, taxes or fees for which you will be responsible. Incoterm DAP applies.

How long is the delivery time?

MINI Yours Customised products are unique and made just for you. For this reason, production, shipping, and handling generally takes 4 to 6 weeks. As soon as we have shipped your products, we will send you a confirmation number and tracking ID which you can use to track the delivery online.

Do I need to pay customs, duties and taxes for my delivery?

If your shipping address lies outside of the EU Customs Union, you are the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country of delivery. This will include any import duties, taxes or fees applicable in the country of delivery. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by you. Mini has no control over these charges.

Can I order MINI Yours Customised products without a customer account?

Yes. To do so, please select the “Shop as Guest” feature once you have proceeded to the checkout.

How can I set up an account?

There are two ways to set up an online account. The first is to click on the “Register” selection in the header of the MINI Yours Customised webpage and follow the steps to create a personal account. If you are placing an order and wish to register for an account, you must first choose a product, and then click on the selection “I would like to continue my order and set up a personal account”.
